BotXO Grows Thanks to Fresh Funding

Lately, BotXO has made headlines in national and international news because we've received €4 million in funding. 

The majority of the investment will be used to bolster our product, while a smaller part serves to grow our customer base. 

We share this proud moment with you because we've grown by learning from your insights, ideas, and inspirational feedback. On that note, a massive thank you to all of you!

New Conversational Feature to Be Announced

We've been cooking up something very special for all of you who are supporting e-commerce websites.

With BotXO's new cutting-edge conversational feature, you can connect your product offer, the website visitor's actions, and the chatbot's replies with one another by using conversational websites

Simulate human interaction within your digital setting, and through that boost sales and gain insights about your visitor's sales funnel from MQL to SQL.

Create Global Connections Without Conditions

It is now possible to define Global Connections without any condition

The way it worked before required you to describe the circumstances under which the action should take place. In other words, a condition was required. 

For example, a specific NLU intent or keyword had to be understood before a specific global connection would be triggered. As a consequence, some bot builders defined creative workarounds as conditions that would always apply. 

Now, you can just insert a webhook or set-variable action which saves you time.

Optimized Facebook Integration

For all of you who are using Facebook as a channel, this new feature is especially worth a read. 

You can now delete a chatbot connected to Facebook and at the same time, disconnect it from this SoMe channel. The deletion process triggered on BotXO automatically disconnects the bot that has been active for Facebook Messenger.

Previously, you would have to notify Facebook about that bot deletion which was an arduous task. This new feature is a great time-saver, and it prevents a deleted bot from being active on Facebook.

Character Limitation for Custom Variables Removed

You can now add values for custom variables with limitless characters.

Previously, the value field was restricted by 100 characters. This limitation was incredibly frustrating when using translations services, which often require a custom variable value to translate bot messages.

Bug fixes 

As always, we've been squashing a few bugs to ease the work with our platform. 🐛

  • For mobile users, the BotXO Widget would not resize when clicking on the input field. 
  • In rare cases, in the Zendesk Widget, the chatbot would reenter the conversation after a handover taking place. 
  • In cases where the BotXO Widget was embedded in an iframe, the buttons were not fully responsive.
  • In Internet Explorer, the BotXO Widget icon was appearing blank.
  • When navigating directly to a webhook instance URL, an error would be displayed.
